Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with reservations and seating arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an exceptional first impression of our establishment.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries.
• Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests as needed.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, striving to resolve issues amicably.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and reservation logs.

Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective guest interactions and teamwork.
• A background in hotel or restaurant environments will be beneficial for understanding guest relations dynamics.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others are key traits for success in this role.
