Job Summary
We are seeking a Site Technology Specialist to serve as an on-site technical presence across multiple locations in the Bay Area. This hands-on role is focused on supporting local IT and AV infrastructure, maintaining day-to-day technical operations at each site, and ensuring the security and reliability of our systems and end-user devices.
The Site Technology Specialist is a technical liaison for each location, responsible for tasks such as network and AV system upkeep, running QA checks, direct support to end users and site stakeholders, and equipment installation. A key part of this role is maintaining and reinforcing security best practices—including endpoint protection, secure access to systems, and physical security of IT and AV assets.
The Site Technology Specialist is the on-site representative for the technology team; relaying updates, escalating issues, and maintaining clear records of actions and findings. The position requires strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills combined with sound judgment, confidentiality, and discretion.
Essential Job Duties:
- Coordinate with on-site property management, facilities and security staff to ensure smooth execution of IT operations, infrastructure maintenance, and access control.
- Maintain the health and reliability of on-site network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and structured cabling.
- Assist with ensuring the security and compliance of end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals, in coordination with the broader IT team.
- Perform regular QA checks on IT and AV systems to proactively identify and resolve issues before they affect users.
- Provide hands-on support to end users and stakeholders on-site, including responding to technical issues, troubleshooting, and escalation coordination.
- Support the administration and troubleshooting of SaaS platforms, identity providers (IdP), and mobile device management (MDM) systems, helping ensure consistent user access and policy enforcement.
- Monitor and maintain IDFs, UPS units, AV gear, and other related infrastructure, ensuring clean, organized, and secure environments.
- Implement and reinforce security best practices on-site, including physical access control, secure device handling, and coordination with security vendors when needed.

- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, etc.)
- Familiarity with end-user device security and compliance practices
- Comfortable working with remote teams and using collaboration tools to stay aligned
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Preferred:

- Familiarity with structured cabling, patching, and IDF rack maintenance
- Experience working in regulated or security-conscious environments
- Experience working with property managers, facilities teams, or vendors in a professional setting

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for company-related travel
- Regular participation in on-call coverage, with after-hours and weekend work required
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods using hands and wrists
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces
- Ability to intermittently lift at least 30 pounds to support on-site tasks
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and execution of an employment agreement, consistent with applicable law
