Monday through Friday 9am-5pm

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare settings, particularly in outpatient environments, teaching hospitals, or emergency medicine.

Duties
As a Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
• Helping with mobility and transferring clients safely from one location to another.
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
• Monitoring clients' health status and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting clients in following prescribed care plans and medication schedules.
• Engaging in recreational activities to promote physical and mental stimulation.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working in various healthcare settings such as outpatient clinics, teaching hospitals, or emergency medicine facilities.
• Familiarity with specialized areas including OR (Operating Room), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), medical-surgical units, geriatrics, or trauma centers (Level I and Level II).
• A strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and medical staff.
• A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Training & Certification Support

• Assistance in obtaining your CPR certification

Additional Requirements

Please note: You may be required to travel to different client locations depending on assignment availability. Flexibility in travel is a plus and may be necessary to meet the needs of our clients.
