POSITION OVERIEW

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team. This role involves customizing, assembling, and modifying foam rig trailers used for spray foam insulation applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with trailer electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical installations. Attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential to ensure high-quality, durable, and efficient rig setups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and configure spray foam insulation equipment, including proportioners, hoses, compressors, and generators.
  • Customize trailers by installing electrical wiring, lighting, and control panels.
  • Set up ventilation and HVAC systems to maintain proper operating conditions.
  • Install and secure spray foam material storage and workstations.
  • Perform fabrication as needed to support trailer modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair trailer components, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure all installations meet safety and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Familiarity with measuring and hand tools.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot assembly, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.

PREFEERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in trailer modification, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
  • Knowledge of spray foam rig equipment and systems is highly desirable.
  • Carpentry experience is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Indoor manufacturing/workshop setting.
  • Exposure to noise, grease, and other typical conditions of a mechanical assembly environment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
