Delivery Driver

Urban Lights is seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our Colorado Springs team. We are a locally owned, 40-year-old company, with Stores in Denver and Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, heavy lifting, and the operation of various vehicles including box trucks. The Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck and other vehicles for deliveries.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding issues or delays.
• Use of handheld device for delivery information.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
• Experience in loading and unloading products.
• Proven driving experience with a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Familiarity with operating box trucks.
• Previous delivery driver experience is preferred.
• Local knowledge of the front range area from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required.
• Comfortable with route driving and navigating through various locations.
• Be able to drive and work in all weather conditions.

Our fleet consists of standard RWD 16' box trucks and smaller delivery vans. Occasionally, larger 26' box trucks are used.

Full time, Monday - Friday work schedule. 40hrs per week average but may fluctuate up or down depending on delivery schedule.
