About the Position
The Operations Specialist II is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting recruitment and onboarding functions as part of continuous workforce management. Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, this position supports the full worker lifecycle by coordinating deployments, providing ongoing operational support while workers are on assignment, assisting with upskilling and trade qualification activities, and managing workforce movement across job sites and states.
The role includes a mix of office-based coordination and field-based support. It involves close collaboration with recruitment, operations, safety, payroll, compliance, and field leadership to ensure workers are properly onboarded, supported, qualified, and deployed in alignment with project schedules and regulatory requirements. Strong administrative discipline and comfort navigating systems, procedures, and operational tools are essential to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Coordination
- Serve as a coordination point across recruitment, operations, safety, payroll, and field teams to support day-to-day workforce management
- Provide ongoing operational support to workers while on assignment, including issue resolution and coordination of services
- Maintain internal systems, trackers, dashboards, and workforce data with accuracy and consistency
- Execute established procedures related to deployment, onboarding, compliance, and workforce movement
- Support the Operations Manager with administrative, tracking, and logistical tasks
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Participate in off-hours calls to support coordination across time zones
Onboarding, Deployment, Upskilling & Workforce Movement
- Support recruitment and onboarding functions as they relate to deployment execution and ongoing workforce support
- Coordinate worker onboarding, orientation, and trade qualification requirements across states
- Support upskilling activities, testing, training, and certification coordination
- Manage deployment scheduling, redeployment planning, and workforce movement across job sites and regions
- Maintain accurate records for visas, I-94expirationdates, onboarding milestones, qualifications, and deployment timelines
- Travel to deployment sites as needed to support mobilization, onboarding, upskilling, and redeployment activities
Workforce Management, Vendors & Systems Support
- Coordinate vendors and service providers supporting workforce deployment and onboarding
- Support workforce scheduling, utilization tracking, and assignment changes
- Maintain accurate records related to workforce location, availability, and compliance
- Assist with workforce demand planning and forecasting
- Support process improvements and the implementation of new systems, tools, and workflows across workforce operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Operations, or a related field
- 2+years of experience in operations, workforce coordination, onboarding support, or deployment related roles preferred
- Strong organizational, administrative, and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively across systems, procedures, and data trackers
- High attention to detail and comfort working with documentation, spreadsheets, and operational tools
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and ability to prioritize competing demands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint); experience with workforce systems, onboarding platforms, or deployment tracking tools is an asset
Licensure, Travel & Availability
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% domestically, including long-distance driving and air travel
- Ability to be away from home 2–10+ days at a time based on operational needs
- Weekend deployments required
- Flexible work hours aligned with deployment schedules and workforce demands
