Job Title: Production PlannerJob Description

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for all planning functions and activities to support the product line through the manufacturing cycle. This includes scheduling sales orders, managing shop floor movements, and ensuring timely shipment of products. You will create and maintain an efficient demand and supply chain, ensuring inventory levels align with market forecasts. Your role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and cost-efficient flow of operations, delivering high-quality products to our customers on time.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage product line SIOP meetings, reviewing and maintaining planning parameters including forecasting, demand and capacity planning, and inventory.
  • Develop and improve planning techniques and processes to minimize inventory levels, improve cash flow, and maximize efficiencies.
  • Work with the Value Stream to provide order status, order details, and any recovery plans required to support customer needs.
  • Liaise between planning, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales teams regarding production schedules.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in production planning, production scheduling, and supply chain management in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly JDE.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn on the job.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, production control, and material planning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems and experience with demand analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous improvement and Root Cause Analysis mindset.
Work Environment

You will be working alongside two other planners and will be required to collaborate closely with shop employees on the floor. The role offers a dynamic and interactive work environment within a growing company. It is a contract position with the potential for full-time hire, providing opportunities for growth and long-term tenure.

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $33.65/hr.
