Endoscopy Technician Part-Time

Atlantic Surgery Center at Union is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center, located in Union, NJ. Specialties include GI/Endoscopy, podiatry, ENT, pain management, GYN and plastics.

We are seeking a Part-Time Endoscopy Technician to join our team

This position includes duties such as:

• Assisting physicians during endoscopy procedures, under the direct supervision of the physician and registered nurse
• Effectively setup, breakdown, and turnover procedure rooms
• Efficiently maintain supply stock in rooms, ensure instruments/supplies are available as needed, and maintain responsibility for managing inventory for the ASC
• Effectively oversee the care and maintenance of endoscopy equipment and other patient care equipment
• Promotes safety of patients, co-workers and self through practice of standard precautions
• Assist in the cleaning, disinfection and reprocessing of endoscopes and accessory equipment
• Performance of other duties, as assigned

Hours:

• 3 shifts per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays, plus an additional day depending on operating schedule
• Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday
• No Holidays, No Weekends, No Call

Requirements:

• Previous work experience as endoscopy technician highly preferred
• BLS Certification
• High school diploma or GED certificate

Preferred Skills:

• Scope Reprocessing Certification
