Our Daily Bread, a locally loved counter-service bistro on Brambleton Avenue, is seeking a reliable, innovative Assistant Bistro Manager to help lead daily operations in our fast-paced, high-volume environment.

We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside a full bakery program, and we are deeply committed to exceptional hospitality, smooth operations, and a positive team culture.

Position Overview

The Assistant Bistro Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring successful shifts, supporting staff development, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. This position works closely with ownership to supervise front-of-house operations while stepping into service roles as needed.

Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated individual who learns quickly and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant
• Run efficient, well-organized shifts focused on excellent customer satisfaction
• Lead, train, coach, and mentor front-of-house team members
• Schedule shifts and assign stations to staff
• Work hands-on in service positions as needed (cashier, barista, etc.)
• Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Balance cash registers and accurately record daily income and expenses
• Conduct payroll accurately and on time
• Perform inventory counts and place supply orders
• Source cost-effective options for ingredients, supplies, and equipment
• Identify opportunities to minimize costs and improve profitability

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
