The Home2 Suites is looking for an Engineer to join our team

The Engineer is responsible for repairing and maintaining hotel equipment and building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and associates.

Some of the position duties include: -

Repairing furniture and structures (tables, chairs, doors, windows, wallpaper)

Checking and maintaining minor repairs on electrical systems such a HVAC, refrigeration controls, vacuum cleaners, lighting systems, and televisions

Checking and maintaining minor repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, valves, toilets, showers, and sinks

Repairing locks

Performing preventative maintenance of plumbing, electrical, pool, and guestrooms according to the preventative maintenance schedule

Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the same or similar position.

Must be available to work both weekdays and weekends during the 1st and 2nd shifts, a willingness to be a team player, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

• Performs touch up and trim painting.
• Responsible for general repair and maintenance of refrigeration units as applicable to coolers, freezers or ice machines.
• May occasionally be involved with pool equipment
• Locates and corrects HVAC malfunctions and adjusts HVAC units to include systems and control checks.
• Makes systematic checks of electrical appliances and circuits. Informs management of needed replacements.
• Repairs, removes and/or replaces bathroom tile, paint, wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc.
• General knowledge of basic tools utilized in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry; custodial equipment; lawn care; proper safety techniques and procedures.
• Must be able to work independently and stay focused without supervision.
• This is largely a physical role; however, some sitting is required. Must have the ability to frequently grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, turn and lift an average of 35-50 pounds.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
