Line Cook

Mika is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team in Coral Gables. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment. Line Cooks at Mika play a key role in executing our menu with consistency, creativity, and respect for ingredients.

• Prepare and execute menu items according to Mika's recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines

• Set up and stock assigned stations with necessary supplies and ingredients

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations at all times

• Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures

• Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow kitchen staff during service

• Assist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking tasks

• Monitor food quality and freshness, minimizing waste

• Support other stations and kitchen duties as needed

• Previous line cook experience preferred (high-volume or upscale dining a plus)

• Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen leadership

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
