Kitchen Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in daily food preparation and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food industry, working alongside professional chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service. A background in cooking, culinary experience, or restaurant operations is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn and adhere to food safety standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
• Support cooking processes under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards
• Handle food safely during preparation and storage to prevent contamination
• Organize ingredients and supplies for efficient meal assembly
• Assist with serving meals when required, ensuring timely delivery to customers or guests
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
• Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup as needed

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills preferred
• Experience in meal preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is a plus
• Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to team needs
• Prior experience in the food industry or catering is advantageous but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or evenings if necessary
