Mammo Tech - Hospital Mammography

Full-time, second shift

Job Description:

• Operates Radiologic equipment to produce clinical radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologists and performs diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the technologist performs radiographic examinations of the breast as requested by a physician.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency that the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) recognizes, or military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required.
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
• Registered or Registry Eligible by the ARRT required.
• Certification in mammography within one year of hire required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to three years of experience as an RT preferred.
• Mammography experience preferred.
• BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
