Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager with specialized experience in the hotel industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role is integral to ensuring the financial stability and success of our hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll within the hotel context.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing critical analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets, identifying areas for cost reductions and process improvements.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the hotel's financial assets and ensure efficient operations.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure tax compliance and reporting requirements are met.
• Continuously seek ways to enhance accounting procedures and systems to improve overall financial health and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing successful accounting teams.
• Thorough knowledge of hotel accounting practices, including revenue management, cost control, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
