As a Second Shift Baker & Retail Team Member at (HBG), you play a vital role in bringing our Concept Essence to life. Your primary responsibility is to expertly prepare high-quality breads, bagels, and pastries using proper baking procedures during evening and late-day production hours. In addition, you support the overall bakery-café experience by assisting guests and helping maintain a warm, welcoming environment. Together, we serve others, support one another, and win as a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary Role: Baker:

• Bake breads, bagels, and pastries daily following established baking manuals and procedures.

• Execute all baking tasks consistently within second-shift, time-restricted production schedules.
• Evaluate finished products to ensure the highest quality and uphold brand standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe baking environment.
• Follow all food sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot dough and product preparation issues as needed.
• Make a positive impact through reliable execution and teamwork within the bakery-café.

• Secondary Role: Retail Team Member:

• Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm, ensuring an exceptional experience.

• Prepare menu items—including sandwiches, salads, beverages, and baked goods—quickly, accurately, and consistently.
• Assist with register transactions and guest orders.
• Maintain cleanliness in guest areas, including dining room, service counters, and beverage stations.
• Support teammates and managers to help keep café operations running smoothly.
• Demonstrate commitment to high standards of health, food safety, and hospitality.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate keyboards; may require extended time in the bakery-café.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
