Production Coffee Roaster

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Coffee Roaster to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the roasting process, ensuring product quality, and maintaining food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on craft coffee production, requiring strong mechanical skills and knowledge of food industry regulations. The Production Coffee Roaster plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality coffee products to our customers while adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.

Duties

• Operate and monitor coffee roasting equipment to produce consistent, high-quality roasted beans
• Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of all equipment and work areas in compliance with HACCP, CGMP, and food safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of roasting machinery, utilizing mechanical knowledge to address minor repairs or issues
• Manage packaging processes, including bagging, labeling, and sealing roasted coffee products
• Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and product storage
• Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to food safety regulations and quality control standards
• Support brewing operations as needed for product testing or quality assurance purposes
• Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and quality checks

Requirements

• Prior experience in manufacturing, food industry, or related craft beverage production is preferred
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, HACCP, CGMP, and food safety standards is pre
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
• Experience with packaging and warehouse operations is a plus
• Familiarity with brewing processes or craft beer experience is advantageous but not required
• Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
• Prior experience in food safety practices within a manufacturing environment is highly valued
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds

Pay: $ $24.04 per hour
