A rapidly growing engineering and industrial construction firm in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking an energetic and motivated professional to join our team as a Project Manager based out of the Marietta office. Project Managers work with clients, employees, and subcontractors to create and meet project goals, analyze data, create and deliver reports, and assist the construction team with various tasks to ensure the project is delivered on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping teams focused and projects on track.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Managing projects ranging from Process Piping, Mechanical Equipment, P&IDs to Pipe Fabrication
- Reviewing and comprehending technical and administrative documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs)
- Creating a list of material takeoffs to define quantities of work materials
- Analyzing a project before it starts, accurately estimating costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant areas
- Overseeing daily operations, developing reports on materials and crew requirements, and analyzing potential projects' financial success
- Determining work crews and production rates for the performance of required tasks
- Breaking down the scope of work into definable tasks
- Building effective relationships with skilled labor, sub-contractors, and partners by being an effective communicator
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Budgeting, strategic thinking, negotiating, organizing, presenting findings, and the ability to effectively communicate with superiors, peers, and subordinates
- Basic computer skills required for producing reports and communicating with colleagues
- Leadership and delegation skills are crucial in identifying the best person (or people) for a task and acting as a facilitator to motivate and direct the work
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks to ensure that projects are completed by deadlines and streamlining processes to maximize productivity
- Decision-making skills are needed to weigh the costs and benefits of various options and determining the best course of action to achieve company goals
- Problem-solving skills are crucial to analyzing past and current performance and recommending ideas to improve productivity and profitability
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Procore
- Knowledge of Industrial Piping Works
- Knowledge of Industrial Millwright Works
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or technical degree with equivalent working experience is preferred
- 5 years of proven success in running Process Piping Projects
- Additional and relevant mechanical repair and services experience preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in managing projects, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects.
