West Delray Veterinary (WDV) is seeking 1-2 full-time experienced Technician Assistants to join our busy, growing practice.

We are a full service, integrative medicine practice and are AAHA accredited. We recently expanded the practice and have a dedicated space for our animal rehabilitation department.

• Comprehensive medicine and wellness care
• General Surgery and Comprehensive Dentistry
• Digital dental X-rays and digital radiography
• In-house diagnostic laboratory and outside laboratory capabilities
• Integrative therapies including acupuncture, laser therapy, animal physical rehabilitation, therapeutic massage, herbal and nutritional medicine and hydrotherapy

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities: Assist veterinarians during medical emergencies and routine appointments; Obtain relevant patient health history, patient vitals, maintain detailed medical records; Vaccine preparation and storage; Outpatient and in hospital patient care and treatments i.e nail trim, patient sample handling, anal gland expression, ear treatments; Radiograph positioning; Attentive patient care and husbandry; Recognition of animal behavior; Safe and Low Stress handling and restraint.

Veterinary Assistant Qualifications:

• At least 2 year of veterinary experience preferred
• Interested in a career as a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian.
• Minimum of 2 years of college education
