About the Role

MWHis currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the team in engineering, coordination and construction of the civil, architectural and structural packages on a large wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) project in San Francisco, CA . This position will report directly to the Senior PM. This position is accountable for supporting all aspects of delivery for civil, architectural and structural work that may include procurement, contract management, change management, quality management and general management of other work-related issues. The Assistant PM must ensure work is performed on budget, on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents and other engineering standards.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and support to the Trade Package Project Managers and Site Superintendents.
  • Procurement - Support Project Managers and Contracts Team in the development of trade and equipment procurement documents to ensure all trade contracts, services, and materials to perform specific tasks are secured and available when needed.
  • Change Management - Coordinate with PMs and Superintendents to review and evaluate proposed change orders against the contract documents and to assess the validity of the proposed cost estimates for the work. Assist in the management of Time and Materials tickets where required on executed change orders and force
