Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive one-on-one therapy to children ages 1 - 6 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related childhood disorders in a clinic setting
  • Implement communication and behavior acquisition treatment as outlined by a treatment plan
  • Collect data
  • Maintain the client's program book
  • Develop/create teaching materials
  • Discuss client's daily progress with parents/caretakers
  • Work with BCBA to implement individualized goals and checklists
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
  • Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • Ideal candidate will be a current undergraduate/graduate student in Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Education
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding social skills
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills
  • Candidates must be patient, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, creative, and must work well in a team environment
  • Experience working with children
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willing to obtain certifications within 45 days of hire
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • CPR and First Aid certified (preferred not required)
  • Pass criminal background check

Special Considerations:

  • Candidates who have prior experience working with children with special needs
  • Candidates who are bilingual or ASL-proficient

Pay Rate: varies depending on experience and education

Schedule: 30-40 hours / per week, Mon - Friday, no evenings
