Join The Kid Spot Center team as a Part-Time/Per-Diem Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and play a vital role in transforming the lives of young children through high-quality communication therapy. In this position, you will provide speech and language services to pediatric patients in a private medical clinic setting, focusing on early intervention and individualized, family-centered care.
You will work with children ages 1–6, helping them build foundational communication skills that support lifelong success. This is a paid opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with a supportive, multidisciplinary team of BCBAs, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists who are committed to treating the whole child .
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, feeding, and swallowing needs in pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges
- Provide evidence-based therapy targeting articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and feeding skills
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and measurable progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Educate families on strategies and home exercises to support skill carryover outside of therapy sessions
- Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in pediatric speech-language pathology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations in clinical and/or school-based settings
- Prior experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and developmental milestones
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans
- Knowledge of early intervention principles and practices
- Experience with IEP development, including goal writing, present levels of performance, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
