Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional seeking a challenging opportunity in inventory management? Our logistics center in Detroit, Michigan, is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This role is vital to our operations, ensuring that our inventory data is precise and that stock levels are optimized. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, performing stock adjustments, and implementing best practices for inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, experience with inventory management software, and a keen eye for detail. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency. We value safety and require all personnel to utilize appropriate PPE. This is a critical role within our logistics network, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods and the satisfaction of our customers. If you possess excellent analytical skills and are passionate about maintaining order and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities include: Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy. Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently. Performing stock adjustments and maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS. Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential overstock or stockout situations. Implementing and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures. Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy and flow. Training new team members on inventory control processes. Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE. This role may involve some lifting of materials as part of stock checks or movement. Familiarity with ERP systems is a significant plus. Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
