Are you a natural leader with a passion for warehouse operations? We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage our facility in San Jose, California. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and leading a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational goals. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving, optimizing space utilization, and implementing best practices in logistics and safety. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to fostering a productive and safe work environment. Your leadership will drive efficiency and ensure the highest standards of performance in our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse procedures and workflows to optimize productivity.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting the use of PPE .
- Monitor and manage warehouse equipment, ensuring it is maintained in good working order.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction within our Logistics .
- Be prepared to assist with tasks involving physical work, including moderate Lifting .
- Maintain strong communication with other departments, carriers, and suppliers.
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment focused on operational excellence and workplace Safety .
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in understanding and implementing Logistics best practices. Knowledge of Safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs. Must be comfortable with occasional manual labor and Lifting up to 50 lbs. Must ensure team members consistently use required PPE .
