We are hiring a motivated Shipping Clerk in Dallas, Texas to manage the efficient flow of our outgoing goods. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documents, ensuring accurate labeling, and verifying shipment details. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipment documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm pick-ups with freight carriers and logistics partners.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled and meet carrier requirements.
- Conduct final checks of orders for accuracy and completeness before dispatch.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records for tracking and auditing purposes.
- Utilize shipping software and technology to manage outbound logistics.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers to address any issues.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role within logistics.
- Proficiency with shipping software, ERP systems, and standard office applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of shipping processes, carrier operations, and logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment for oneself and others.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
