We're looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin! This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, carefully picking them, and then packing them securely for shipment. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work at a steady pace. You will be a key player in our logistics operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. We emphasize a strong safety culture, requiring all team members to follow established protocols. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Verify picked items against order sheets to ensure correctness.
- Package products securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Label packages for shipment according to company and carrier guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, safely.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies or quality issues to management.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as directed.
- Support the broader logistics team to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting tasks, typically up to 35 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
