Our Orlando, Florida facility is looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and carrier requirements. This role is critical to our **Logistics** operations, as it directly impacts customer satisfaction through timely and correct deliveries. You will be preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying that all orders are correctly packed and labeled. A keen eye for detail and strong communication skills are essential for success in this position. **Safety** in the shipping area is a top priority, and you will be expected to follow all established guidelines. This includes proper handling of materials and ensuring a clear and hazard-free work environment. The ability to handle **Lifting** of packages and manage documentation accurately is key.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping labels).
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against order details.
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled, secured, and staged for shipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, customer service) and external carriers.
- Adhere to all **Safety** regulations and utilize required **PPE**, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Assist with **Lifting** and moving of shipments as needed.
- Identify and report any shipping errors or discrepancies.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of the **Logistics** department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar **Logistics** role. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to operate shipping software and equipment. Must be able to perform **Lifting** of up to 40 lbs. Commitment to workplace **Safety** and proper use of **PPE**.
