Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Operate shipping software and systems to generate labels and manifests.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging, labeling, and condition.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Assist with receiving and inventory tasks as needed.
- Utilize appropriate PPE when handling materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with lifting and moving packages, up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehousing and logistics best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
