Join our logistics team as a Forklift Operator in Huntsville, Alabama. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe movement of materials within our busy distribution center. You will operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to manage inventory, support operations, and maintain productivity. Responsibilities include:
- Safely operating forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
- Moving and stacking inventory in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts.
- Assisting with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Strict adherence to all company Safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Wearing appropriate PPE at all times, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Collaborating with warehouse associates and supervisors to meet operational needs.
- Participating in general warehouse duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift certification, demonstrated experience in a warehouse environment, and a strong commitment to Safety. This position requires physical capability, including the ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification and at least one year of operating experience.
- Experience in warehouse logistics is preferred.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting.
- Must be able to wear and use all required PPE.
