Become a vital part of our logistics team as a Forklift Operator in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for the efficient handling and movement of materials within our busy distribution center. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. We are looking for a safety-conscious individual with proven experience. Key duties include:
- Safely operating various types of forklifts to transport materials.
- Loading and unloading trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Moving and stacking products in designated warehouse locations.
- Performing routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assisting with order picking and packing as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace to promote Safety.
- Adhering strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Using appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Participating in inventory management and cycle counts.
The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift certification, a minimum of one year of operating experience, and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices. This role requires physical stamina for tasks that may include some manual Lifting of up to 30 pounds. We are committed to a culture of Safety and require all employees to prioritize it. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse Safety standards.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting.
- Must wear and use required PPE.
