We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely dispatch of goods. Your responsibilities will include locating items in the warehouse, using scanning equipment to confirm picks, and preparing orders for shipment. This role requires stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be expected to follow all safety procedures and utilize the provided PPE diligently. The position involves significant movement throughout the warehouse and requires the ability to handle moderate lifting . Understanding the flow of warehouse logistics and maintaining high levels of accuracy are key to success. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Use RF scanners to track picked items and update inventory.
- Ensure the correct items and quantities are picked for each order.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Report any damaged or missing items to a supervisor.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations.
- Properly use all mandated PPE during operational hours.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned.
- Support the efficient flow of goods within the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in lifting items up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
