We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing stock control procedures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. You will play a key part in minimizing stockouts, reducing shrinkage, and improving overall operational efficiency. A commitment to Safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain accurate inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Champion Safety in all inventory-related activities.
- Operate equipment as needed, following all Safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with tasks that may involve Lifting and moving of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with tasks involving occasional Lifting.
