In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and customer expectations. You will manage the shipping documentation, coordinate with carriers, and prepare packages for dispatch. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of shipping procedures within the Logistics industry. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately and on time.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) for pickups and deliveries.
- Verify shipment contents against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for transport, protecting them from damage.
- Maintain organized shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 30 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and Logistics best practices.
- Commitment to Safety and workplace security.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
