We have an exciting opportunity for multiple talented embedded software engineers looking to progress their career. At least 3 years’ experience in embedded software development Ability to ‘own’ a project from a software perspective Extensive knowledge of all aspects of programming in ‘C’, especially low level/bare-metal Good working knowledge of another programming language unrelated to ‘C’ Ability to develop low level applications on modern microcontrollers – we generally use ARM Cortex-M series processors Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and errata notices as they relate to software development Ability to use test equipment to verify correct functioning of embedded software Skill in debugging problems and resolving issues without recourse to software debugging tools Educated to degree level Responsibilities
Responsible for full developments (Our developments vary from a few weeks to a few months) Mentoring junior members of staff (dependant on experience) Adhering to written specifications Creating code that is well written, stable, reliable and easy to maintain Testing to verify code is performing to specification. Documentation as required by the specification Second line support on your developments Working as part of a team on larger projects Rewards
Market leading salary in this industry, up to £60,000 (negotiable) 6% pension contribution scheme, rising to 9% in April 2019 Personal private medical, dental and optical cover Quarterly profit share – based on company performance Developments are incredibly varied and interesting – covering a wide range of market sectors.
