We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation of all goods received. Your responsibilities will include unloading, inspecting, and verifying inventory against purchase orders, and preparing received items for distribution within the warehouse. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. We provide comprehensive training on our procedures and a strong emphasis on safety, including mandatory PPE usage.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy in quantity and description.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for any damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Record received goods into the inventory management system accurately and promptly.
