Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in sunny Tampa, Florida! We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to manage all aspects of our shipping operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that our products reach customers accurately and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records related to outgoing goods. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
- Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure timely preparation of orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Handle any shipping-related inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Proficient in using shipping software and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines regarding PPE.
