We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, a critical component of our overall logistics strategy. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain stock accuracy. You will work with our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and movements. A meticulous approach and strong analytical skills are essential. We maintain a strong emphasis on workplace safety, and you will be required to follow all protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory variances promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels, identify trends, and report on inventory status.
- Develop and implement improved inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of inventory.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments on inventory matters.
- Manage returned goods and damaged inventory processing.
- Uphold all safety standards and utilize appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and PPE requirements.
