We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin . In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary duties will involve using pick lists or electronic devices to locate items, ensuring the correct product and quantity are selected, and staging them for the packing department. Precision and speed are essential to meet our service level agreements. This position requires an individual who is physically capable of frequent movement, bending, and significant Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Adherence to all Safety guidelines and the consistent use of required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, are mandatory. Understanding basic warehouse Logistics principles will be advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick ordered items from assigned warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities against order requirements.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for the packing station.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by following proper picking procedures.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or hand trucks as needed.
- Uphold all company Safety standards and regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse Logistics by meeting picking targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment.
