We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Jose, California . As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the initial stage of our inventory management process, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, identifying damaged or missing items, and properly labeling and staging received goods for put-away. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with vendors and internal departments. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to Safety protocols, is paramount. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. You will be expected to wear provided PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, at all times in designated areas. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the Logistics and supply chain industry. Prior experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Label and stage received goods for proper storage or distribution.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Participate in training to enhance knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics best practices.
