We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Charlotte, North Carolina team. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, directly impacting the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts (certification required/provided).
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and logistics teams to coordinate inventory movements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy and control.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations, including proper PPE usage.
