We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Durham, North Carolina. This leadership role is critical for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to all Safety standards. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflows, optimizing storage, and maintaining inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of warehouse management, logistics , and a proven ability to motivate and develop staff are essential. Your leadership will directly impact our operational success and the overall performance of our logistics. This position requires dedication to safety protocols and effective team management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling and task delegation.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure a high level of operational performance and quality control.
- Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching and development to the team.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Manage the efficient flow of goods within the warehouse and to outbound logistics.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations.
- Manage the use and condition of warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Champion the correct use of PPE and promote a strong safety culture.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and employee concerns.
- Perform tasks involving occasional manual Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software.
- Commitment to upholding rigorous Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting .
- Must ensure team members adhere to all PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
