We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient intake of all incoming goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting items for damage, and meticulously documenting all received inventory. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area. You will work closely with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a fast-paced distribution center and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, and quality.
- Accurately record received inventory using WMS software.
- Tag and stage received items for distribution or storage.
- Communicate any shipping errors or damages to supervisors and vendors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including occasional Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
