We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our facility in San Antonio, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate processing of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with freight carriers, packaging items securely, and ensuring timely dispatch. A strong understanding of Logistics procedures and a commitment to Safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outbound shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure compliance with carrier requirements.
- Schedule pickups and coordinate with various shipping carriers.
- Verify order accuracy before packaging and dispatch.
- Securely package items to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in Logistics are a plus.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and carrier management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting, up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of Shipping and Logistics best practices.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to wear and properly use required PPE.
