We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. Your attention to detail is critical to ensuring our inventory records are precise and that goods are properly stored. This position is fundamental to our overall Logistics operations and supply chain integrity. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and verify the contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, and quantity accuracy.
- Document all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
- Move received goods to designated storage areas or staging locations.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
- Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to the overall Logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or inventory control is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and some manual Dexterity.
- Willingness to perform occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using scanners and basic computer systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
