You must possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. The ability to maneuver forklifts in tight spaces and handle various types of loads is essential. This position also requires physical capability for tasks that may include occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment. Your commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be required to strictly adhere to all safety regulations and consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Stack and stage materials according to storage plans.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE.
- Contribute to the overall smooth functioning of logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of material handling techniques.
- Commitment to wearing and using PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in logistics or a distribution environment is preferred.
