Field Application Engineer (m/w/d)

Field Application Engineer (m/w/d)

• Introducing products (power semiconductors, magnetic components, thermal components, mechanical components and so on) of our suppliers to customers
• Understanding the advantage and highlights of our products and technically convince customer to use our products
• Understanding of the end application and requirements of our customer
• Helping customers on selecting the components
• Helping customers on schematic and layout review if necessary
• Following up projects with customer's R&D
• Testing customized samples of our manufacturers if necessary
• Testing and optimizing customer's system by using our components in lab if necessary
• Coordinating with manufacturers and sales
• Activities are carried out from the Ismaning office (preferred), partially also from home office possible
• Occasional business trips to customers and suppliers

• Degree (Uni/FH) in electrical engineering or equivalent training
• Experience with design for power converter systems
• Understanding the operation principle of different topologies, such as buck, boost, flyback, LLC, Full Bridge Phase shifter and so on
• Experience with power semiconductor selection for power converters
• Experience with calculation of transformers and inductors
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German
• EU citizenship is mandatory
• Driver's license class B is required
