Job Title: Locum Practice Nurse – GP Surgery, Carlisle Location: Carlisle Job Type: Locum (Temporary) Hours: Flexible, 08:00 AM – 18:30 PM Contract Length: Ongoing (starting mid-February) Job Description: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Practice Nurse to join a well-established GP surgery in Carlisle. The surgery is looking for a reliable and professional nurse to carry out a variety of duties in their treatment room, including chronic disease management and other general practice nursing responsibilities. The role is flexible on the days worked, with hours from 08:00 AM – 06:30 PM, and will be ongoing, starting in mid-February. Key Responsibilities: * Chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, hypertension, etc.) * General treatment room duties, including wound care, immunisations, and cytology * Supporting the GP team with patient care and health assessments * Administering vaccines and carrying out screening tests * Documenting and updating patient records Requirements: * EMIS Web trained (essential) * At least 6 months UK-based experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP surgery setting * Sound knowledge of chronic disease management and treatment room procedures * Excellent communication skills and patient care focus * Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer: * Flexible working days * Competitive pay rate (dependent on experience) * Ongoing contract with the potential for extension * Supportive work environment with a friendly clinical team If you’re an experienced Practice Nurse with EMIS Web training, looking for a flexible and ongoing locum position, we’d love to hear from you.
