CAM Systems Engineer

Drive automation and efficiency in engineering workflows at Europe's first IC-Substrates plant! In this role, you will manage and optimize CAM systems, implement design specifications, and lead system improvements. Your work will enable standardized processes, data consistency, and high-level support for engineering and CAM operations.

System Operation & Maintenance

• Supervise daily CAM system operations and configuration management to ensure programs run smoothly
• Monitor server and workstation performance to keep software and hardware up to date
• Ensure software programs communicate seamlessly on one platform
• Supervise data backup and retention

Automation & Development

• Develop CAM automation scripts to fulfill internal and external requests
• Implement design rules, specifications, and updates into the PE/CAM system to minimize human error
• Continuously improve PE/CAM preparation processes and fix system bugs

Process Standardization & Documentation

• Create and maintain process instructions to standardize system procedures
• Control compliance with process instructions and implement methods to enforce adherence

Innovation & Project Leadership

• Propose and lead new system programs, features, and improvements
• Manage suppliers and coordinate communication
• Support production with PE/CAM system-related technical assistance
• Act as CAM engineer when needed: check customer designs for compliance with specifications and prepare CAM tooling for production

• Technical background with experience in PCB/IC manufacturing or SMT preferred
• Knowledge of CSH, Perl, or JavaScript programming
• Familiarity with CAM software such as InCAMPro, InCAM, Genesis, AutoCAD, or equivalent
• Strong IT knowledge (hardware and software), Windows and Linux OS
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Logical and technical thinking, stress resilience, and team spirit
• Good communication skills and fluent English (German is a plus)
• Experience as System Engineer or in similar software operations
