Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to their vehicle concerns to accurately identify service needs.
• Prepare detailed auto repair estimates using auto estimating software, clearly explaining recommended services and repairs.
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspensions, alignments, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body work.
• Upsell additional services or maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs.
• Manage service writing processes by documenting all work orders precisely and maintaining clear communication with customers throughout the repair process.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining excellent cash handling procedures.
• Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service, follow-up calls, and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dealership auto service advising or automotive repair environments. Minimum of 5 years experence as a Auto Repair Service Advisor (Required)
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and auto estimating software is highly preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
• Background in service technician support or automotive service management is advantageous.
• Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
• Familiarity with sales techniques related to automobile sales or service packages is a plus.
