Overview:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory control operations within a 400,000 sq. ft. parts distribution center. This role ensures inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, root cause analysis for discrepancies, and supports all inbound, outbound, and storage functions to optimize accuracy, efficiency, and service levels. The manager will lead a team of inventory control specialists and work cross-functionally with operations, procurement, IT, and customer service teams.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Develop, implement, and oversee inventory control procedures to maintain 99.9% inventory accuracy in a high-volume warehouse environment.
• Supervise daily activities of the inventory control team including cycle counts, recounts, audits, and inventory adjustments.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate closely with Receiving, Picking, and Shipping teams to monitor product flow and resolve variances in real-time.
• Maintain system integrity in WMS (Warehouse Management System) including locations, item masters, and lot tracking.
• Drive the use of count back, slotting optimization, and ABC analysis to support operational efficiency.
• Lead the preparation and execution of physical inventories and wall-to-wall counts when required.
• Develop KPIs and generate inventory performance reports for senior leadership.
• Partner with Quality Assurance and Procurement to resolve part issues, obsolescence, and returns.
• Support AIB, ISO, or customer audits by providing documentation and evidence of compliance.
• Train and coach inventory control personnel on SOPs, system use, and safety protocols.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the inventory management process.
Miscellaneous:
- Participating in Safety and 5S requirements
Key Result Areas:
- 99.9% inventory accuracy across locations

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics in a high-volume distribution environment.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing warehouse or inventory teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, root cause methodology, and data analysis.
• Experience with WMS platforms (Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in a parts distribution or automotive/aerospace/industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $90,000.
