THE ROLE
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise and client network infrastructures. This includes managing firewalls, routers, switches, wifi, VPNs, and internet circuits to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network hardware and software, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN solutions.
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security across enterprise and client environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures with precision and clarity.
- Build and maintain critical network monitoring infrastructure to manage and support a large enterprise network.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Manage cloud / IaaS infrastructure as needed.
- Manage internet circuits and WAN connectivity for high availability and redundancy.
- Perform routine network health checks and capacity planning.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives related to network infrastructure.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical network support
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Deep technical knowledge of enterprise networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN technologies and interconnectivity, internet circuits, high availability configurations, and enterprise networking topics such as LACP, BGP, STP protocols
- Strong understanding of ports, protocols, and enterprise technology
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
- Must be willing to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Some travel required.
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Fortinet technologies.
- Experience with networking concepts in public cloud environments a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with excellent documentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards.
- Preference for maintaining infrastructure as code.
